 
Welcome to the FIU Alumni Chapter & Contacts network. Here is your opportunity to Feel the Pride! and participate in local FIU activities and events no matter where you live in the world. New college/school based, geographic and special interest chapters are being formed to connect more than 100,000 Golden Panthers to Florida International University .
Alumni Association Chapters is a recognized chartered organization established under the corporate umbrella of the FIU Alumni Association consisting of alumni and friends living in assigned geographic area, associated with a college or professional school or having a shared special interest. A steering committee and/or board of directors must be formed in order to be considered a chartered chapter.
Alumni Association Contacts are individual volunteers living in an area where an official board of directors or steering committee has not been formed. Volunteers serve as a point of contact for alumni and friends traveling to the area and resource for FIU faculty and staff. Contacts may be called upon to assist the Alumni Association in developing and coordinating activities for area alumni.
Purpose
A FIU alumni chapter and contact exist to support the mission of the FIU Alumni Association.
Mission
As an extension of the FIU Alumni Association alumni chapters mission is to serve the community of FIU alumni, students, and friends by providing lifelong connections to Florida International University
Primary Goals & Objectives
- Coordinate local alumni activities and events in support of FIU
- Provide career networking opportunities for alumni
- Promote membership in the Alumni Association
- Serve as an official contact for the Alumni Association and University
