Function: Plan, prepare and update schedules for construction projects
Job Description: Plan, prepare and update schedules for construction projects for the Trump Group. Job requires 50 percent travel to California.
Essential Functions and Duties: Develop master schedule from input provided by project manager, superintendent and subcontractors to establish sequence of work, lead time of materials, tasks and costs; confer with management to determine percentages of work completed and regularly update schedules; identify areas that may delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions; provide problem reports, analysis reports and variance reports as required; develop pre-op schedules and milestones; prepare updated reports on regular basis based on individual job requirements; assist project manager and superintendent in determining required tools and equipment; assist project manager and superintendent in determining required tools and equipment; prepare recovery schedules as necessary; modify logic to reflect changed job conditions or contract changes; analyze the impact of change orders, delays and any other schedule disruptions; and assist appropriate supervisory personnel to formulate action plans to correct scheduling problems.
Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field; minimum 5 years in construction scheduling; land-planning experience; experience using CPM scheduling; proficiency in reading construction drawings; superior computer skills, including scheduling software; good understanding of construction practices, procedures and construction methods; ability to write reports, busisness correspondence and procedure manuals; exceptional communication sills to effectively present information; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships, including teaming with other management staff and employees; experience and skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives; and well-developed analytical and problem solving skills.
