Fifth Annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival
Friday-Sunday, February 24 – 26, 2006

The South Beach Wine & Food Festival is a national, star-studded, three-day weekend destination event showcasing the talents of the world's most renowned wine and spirits producers, chefs and culinary personalities.

Now in its fifth year, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival began as a one-day festival known as the Florida Extravaganza held at FIU's Biscayne Bay Campus. For five years, the Florida Extravaganza showcased wines from national and international wineries paired with food from local restaurants and chefs working with students of FIU's School of Hospitality Management .

Alumni Association members receive 15% percent off on up to two tickets to either the Saturday or Sunday Grand Tasting. To order tickets, download the PDF order form here and fax the completed document to 305-348-3636, attention Joan Gonzalez. Act Now. Offer ends Jan. 15th.

If you are not an Alumni Association member, join online today and take advantage of this discount and much more.

Event highlights include Bobby Flay cooking up a champagne-drenched, beachside barbecue; Wine Spectator's “Best of the Best” reserve tasting at the Fontainebleau Resort; a tribute dinner in honor of Spain's most-renowned and inventive chef, Ferran Adria; the signature Grand Tasting afternoons featuring the cuisine of dozens of South Florida restaurants, wine and spirits from around the globe and demonstrations by Emeril Lagasse, Rachael Ray, Alton Brown, Giada De Laurentiis and many others; a poolside dessert party led by sugar's grande dames; and even a chance for the littlest of budding young cooks to learn how to prepare a dish or two from the Food Network's biggest stars.

Hosted by Southern Wine & Spirits of Florida and Florida International University (FIU), the festival benefits the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Teaching Restaurant and the Southern Wine & Spirits Beverage Management Center, both located at FIU.
