On December 9th, alumni and current students gathered at the CRU Bar in Kingston, Jamaica to celebrate the holiday season. About 50 Panthers attended to meet with peers and hear from university representatives. The soirée was organized by the FIU Alumni Association Jamaica Chapter and co-sponsored by the Alumni Association, College of Business and College of Education.

Chapter President Gerry Wight ’89, MBA 92 spoke to the group about building an alumni tradition in Jamaica and making the Holiday Soirée an annual signature event. The chapter welcomed alumni who have never been on the main campus in Miami and are alumni of the College of Business, College of Education or College of Engineering graduate programs taught in Jamaica. Executive MBA alumna, Belinda Williams ‘92 and Manager of Group Corporate Communications, Brand and Philanthropy at National Commercial Bank Jamaica urged alumni to do business with fellow Panthers and network!
