This summer, the FIU Athletic Department reinforced the commitment to its student-athletes with the rebranding of the athletics annual giving campaign. The Panther Scholarship Fund (PSF), formally the Panther Club, will ensure that philanthropic gifts make a positive and immediate impact on the lives of over 400 student-athletes and will serve as the primary source of giving to FIU Athletics.

The Panther Scholarship Fund will assist FIU Athletics in providing the necessary resources to enhance the overall academic and athletic experience for the student-athletes. The PSF will allow FIU Athletics to cover costs associated with its annual scholarship bill – approximately $6,500,000 – so the department can reinvest in other revenue sources to assist with its 18 varsity sports.  With multiple giving levels, contributions of all sizes will support scholarship funding for FIU student-athletes.

“The rebranding of our annual fund allows us to continue the focus on our student-athletes and their efforts to be superior in the classroom,” Associate Athletic Director for Development Chris Bultinck said. “The Panther Scholarship Fund correlates directly with the mission statement of FIU Athletics.  We can now focus our donors on investing their gifts by providing much needed scholarship assistance to our student-athletes”
