Interested in serving as an appointee in the next Presidential Administration?
FIU has a rich history of alumni serving in presidential administrations from both sides of the aisle. Many of these individuals have been instrumental in influencing government at all levels.
Now, the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda (NHLA) has launched a joint initiative with the Latino Victory Foundation called the Latino Talent Initiative to increase the pool of Latino candidates politically appointed positions in the next administration.
Each administration normally appoints approximately 6000 political positions, without counting White House staff. Regardless of the outcome of this election, it is important to ensure that our government reflects the diversity of the people it serves.
There are opportunities for people with a wide range of experience, from recent graduates to seasoned professionals who manage personnel, set and implement policy, drive agendas and oversee millions of dollars through programs and initiatives.
