For the second year in a row, FIU has made \u201cAmerica\u2019s Best Employers<\/a>\u201d list by Forbes magazine. FIU is thesecond best ranked Florida employer<\/a> after Publix, and is the highest ranking university in Florida on this year\u2019s list.<\/p>\n

\u201cReaching this milestone two years in a row validates what FIU\u2019s faculty and staff have known all along,\u201d said FIU President Mark B. Rosenberg. \u201cFIU is on this list because of the commitment to excellence that our faculty and staff members put in on a daily basis making our FIU a dynamic and desirable place to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year FIU ranked as the 34th<\/sup> best employer in the list, moving up 30 spots from last year\u2019s ranking<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Forbes\u2019 list of 500 private- and public-sector employers were chosen based on an independent survey by Statista.com of 30,000 American employees working for U.S. companies and institutions with more than 5,000 employees. Employees were contacted anonymously online without the involvement of their employer. Respondents included in this sample are representative of the U.S.\u00a0workforce by gender, age, region, education, and ethnicity. Workers were asked to rate on a scale of 1-10 how likely they would be to recommend their employer to job seekers and also how they felt about the other employers in their industry.<\/p>\n
