Homecoming 2016 is finally here!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Join us <\/span>October 16 \u2013 22<\/b> <\/span>for an exciting Homecoming week full of concerts, rallies, parades, tailgating and much more! It\u2019s time to party with your entire Panther family and get pumped for the big game!<\/span><\/p>\n

Over the past few months, our Homecoming Council has worked hard to put together an exciting lineup of events! There is a lot happening and we don\u2019t want you to miss a moment.<\/p>\n

Special highlights include:<\/p>\n

Panthermonium<\/b><\/span>
\n<\/b><\/span>Get ready to roar at Panthermonium \u2013 the biggest live show yet! 2 Chainz, Lil Dicky and Makj take the stage on <\/span>Sunday, October 16 <\/b><\/span>at <\/b><\/span>FIU Stadium.<\/b> <\/span>Doors open at <\/span>6:30 p.m.<\/b><\/span> Free student tickets are available at the FIU One Card office. Blue & Gold: Unleashed<\/b><\/span>
\n<\/b><\/span>BBC is getting ready for the big day with Blue & Gold: Unleashed, a homecoming pep rally, which will feature a special Trail of the Torch ceremony, at <\/span>Panther Plaza\/Panther Square <\/b><\/span>on <\/span>Monday, October 17 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 11 a.m.<\/b> <\/span>Enjoy a bounce house, a candy bar, pizza, and more. Event is open to all; no tickets required.<\/span><\/p>\n

Unleash the Crown<\/b><\/span>
\n<\/b><\/span>Who\u2019s going to take the crown this year? Find out on <\/span>Monday, October 17 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 7 p.m.<\/b> <\/span>in the <\/span>GC Ballrooms<\/b><\/span>, when we showcase our Homecoming Court. Doors open at <\/span>6:30 p.m.<\/b> <\/span>Event is open to all; no tickets required.

Caribbean Bash
\n<\/b><\/span>Grab your Caribbean and Carnival gear and join us on <\/span>Tuesday, October 18 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 5 p.m.<\/b> <\/span>in the <\/span>BBC Wolfe University Center Ballrooms<\/b> <\/span>to enjoy a night of different cultures, traditions, performances and more. This event is free for students and $5 (cash only) for guests.

Trail of the Torch
\n<\/b><\/span>This annual tradition is back by popular demand! Join the FIU Student Ambassadors as we light the torch of hope, knowledge and opportunity on <\/span>Tuesday, October 18 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 7 p.m. <\/b><\/span>on the <\/b><\/span>FIU Housing Quad<\/b>. <\/span>There will also be food, entertainment, giveaways and a special concert hosted by GEICO. Event is open to all; no tickets required.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Panther Prowl Comedy Show<\/b><\/span>
\nComedian <\/b>Nick Swardson will take the stage at the <\/span>FIU Arena<\/b> <\/span>on <\/b><\/span>Wednesday, October 19. <\/b><\/span>Doors open at <\/span>7 p.m.<\/b> <\/span>Free student tickets are available at the FIU One Card office. Guests can purchase tickets here<\/b><\/span><\/a>.

BSU Spirit & Soul Homecoming BBQ<\/b><\/span>
\n<\/b><\/span>Come get ready for the Homecoming game at <\/span>BBC\u2019s Panther Plaza <\/b><\/span>on<\/span> Thursday, October 20 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 12 p.m.<\/b> <\/span>Join us for great food, music, DIY homecoming shirts, and giveaways! Event is open to all; no tickets required.

Panthers Got Talent and Faculty\/Staff Homecoming King and Queen Crowning
\n<\/b><\/span>Our FIU family will take center stage at this year\u2019s Panthers Got Talent show on <\/span>Thursday, October 20 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 6 p.m.<\/b><\/span> in the <\/b><\/span>FIU Arena.<\/b> <\/span>There will be a winner for best individual, small group, and large group performances. During the show, the FIU Faculty\/Staff Homecoming King and Queen will also be announced. This event is open to all students and employees; no tickets required.<\/span><\/p>\n

LXV Lounge: A Blue & Gold Affair
\n<\/b><\/span>Dress to impress at the Homecoming Dance on <\/span>Friday, October 21 <\/b><\/span>at<\/span> 7 p.m.<\/b><\/span> in the<\/span> BBC Wolfe Center Ballrooms. <\/b><\/span>This event will feature a fashion show organized by our in-house fashion club, Eclipse, as well as free food, drinks, and giveaways. This event is free for students and $5 (cash only) for guests.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the big day, <\/span>Saturday, October 22<\/b><\/span>, there is also full day of activities:<\/span><\/p>\n

FIU Proud Parent and Family Brunch
\n<\/b><\/span>There is no better way get ready for Homecoming than with the FIU Proud Parent and Family Brunch at <\/span>11:30 a.m. <\/b><\/span>in the <\/b><\/span>GC Ballrooms.<\/b> <\/span>This event will include a catered brunch, as well as appearances by Roary and the FIU cheerleaders. The Silver Pride Reunion Weekend <\/b><\/span>
\nThe class of 1991 will return to campus for Silver Pride Weekend to reconnect with friends and learn what\u2019s next for our FIU. Join us at <\/span>2 p.m. <\/b><\/span>in the <\/b><\/span>Roar Lounge<\/b><\/span>, our exclusive spot for alumni, friends and family, to enjoy food, drinks and family-friendly activities before the game. Homecoming Parade<\/b><\/span>
\nFloats, spirit cars, marching bands, dancers \u2013 there is no better way to get ready for the big game than the Homecoming Parade! Come cheer on your fellow Panthers and community members <\/span>at 2:30 p.m.<\/b> <\/span>The parade will start on <\/span>East Campus Circle\/Southwest 113<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span> Avenue near Lot 9<\/b> <\/span>and will end on <\/span>Southwest 17<\/b><\/span>th<\/sup><\/b><\/span> Street between the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center (WPAC) and the Blue garage<\/b><\/span>.
