Earlier this month, several FIU alumni enjoyed\u00a0a scenic and enchanting tour through\u00a0the beautiful wine regions of Chile, tasting\u00a0fine wines and taking in stunning locations along the way. Highlights of the trip included visits to the best wineries of Casablanca, San Antonio, Colchagua, Cachapoal and Maipo.<\/p>\n

The group picked their own vegetables\u00a0and herbs for a cooking class near Santa Cruz, and below, the group dines\u00a0al fresco at Lapostolle.<\/p>\n

Jorge Villacampa, who serves on the FIU Board of Directors and is the Wells Fargo Area President, had this to say about the experience: “We had a truly great trip. Not only did we learn a lot about wines, but we were also able to experience the country and its people, who we found to be amazing!”<\/p>\n

Contributions from each trip are made to the First Generation Scholarship Fund based on tour participation. The fund provides financial\u00a0support to qualified undergraduate students who are the first\u00a0generation in their families to attain a college degree. All contributions\u00a0are matched 100% by the State of Florida, doubling impact and making dreams come true for many deserving students.<\/p>\n
