On Tuesday, Fortune.com released its list of 2017’s 50 Most Powerful Latinas, and four FIU alumnae made the list.<\/p>\n

From Fortune.com: The 50 Most Powerful Latinas are executives running Fortune<\/em> 500 companies, large private firms, and a few impressive entrepreneurs leading global companies. The four-criteria used were: the size and importance of the woman’s business in the global economy, the health and direction of the business, the arc of the woman’s career\u2014r\u00e9sum\u00e9 and runway ahead\u2014and their social and cultural influence.<\/p>\n

\"Myrna
\nSVP & Global Chief Information Security Officer, Comcast<\/em><\/p>\n

Myrna Soto<\/strong> oversees the security of all information and technology assets for Comcast<\/a>. She also specializes in technology risk management & strategy, business\/technology integration, and vendor management & strategic sourcing.<\/p>\n

In addition to her role at Comcast, she is also on the board of directors for CMS Energy<\/a> & Consumers Energy and Spirit Airlines, and the Hispanic IT Executive Council where she is Vice President.\u00a0She received a Masters Certification in project management from George Washington University, an MS and MBA from Nova Southeastern University and earned her BA degree in Psychology from FIU in 1993.<\/p>\n

Francis Hondal<\/strong> brings 25 years of experience in consumer marketing, finance and management to her role at Mastercard.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the company, she launched a business development and marketing service firm after an 18-year career at American Express<\/a>, where she was Regional VP and General Manager for the International Consumer Card Services Division in Latin America and Canada.<\/p>\n

Hondal is a first generation Cuban-American with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Finance and International Business and an MBA from Florida International University. She is also a member of the College of Business’ Dean’s Council and was inducted into the College of Business Administration Hall of Fame in 2015, where she received the Global Leadership Award.<\/p>\n

SVP and General Manager of Local Media, Univision Communications Inc.<\/em><\/p>\n

Claudia Puig<\/strong> oversees Univision Communications\u2019 radio and television stations in South Florida with responsibility for local sales, content, digital, operations, and community relations.<\/p>\n

With more than 20 years of experience in U.S. Hispanic media, Puig served as VP and General Manager of Spanish Broadcasting Systems prior to joining Univision, where she directed all aspects of sales, marketing, promotions, and business development on the local and national level.<\/p>\n

She received her degree in International Business and Marketing from Florida International University where she serves as Chairwomen of the Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

Managing Director Global Client Segment & Strategy Executive , Bank of America<\/em><\/p>\n

Ileana Musa<\/strong> focuses on working with Bank of America’s international financial advisors with goal-based wealth management experience for high-net worth clients.<\/p>\n

Prior to this role, she was Managing Director, Head of International Credit & Banking at BofA and has held numerous regional and divisional assignments in Wealth Management and Brokerage at the bank.<\/p>\n

In addition to her role at Bank of America, Musa is the chair of the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA). She received her BBA degree in finance from the University of Miami and an MBA from Florida International University.<\/p>\n
