President Mark B. Rosenberg sent the following message to the community on Sept. 14, 2020:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dear FIU alumni,<\/p>\n

In just a few weeks, get ready to Pave Your Path<\/em><\/strong> during\u00a0FIU Homecoming Week 2020<\/a>! While Homecoming will look very different this year, we look forward to a week full of virtual concerts, activities, caravans and other exciting events that will make us really feel our Panther pride.<\/p>\n

The fun kicks off Sunday, October 4 and runs through Saturday, October 10. <\/strong><\/p>\n

With your help, Homecoming 2020 is going to be one we\u2019ll never forget. Some highlights include:<\/p>\n

Panthermonium
\n<\/u><\/strong>We are excited to announce that our artist for Panthermonium is STEVE AOKI<\/strong>!!! Our annual concert will take place on Sunday, October 4 <\/strong>starting at 7:15 p.m.<\/strong> We\u2019re also happy to announce that Panthermonium will be FREE this year for alumni, students, faculty and staff! In order to get tickets, you need to download the Looped app or create an account using your FIU email address<\/em> at LoopedLive.com<\/a>. Don\u2019t wait \u2013 claim your ticket<\/a>!<\/p>\n

\"Panthermonium<\/p>\n

The Roar Report
\n<\/u><\/strong>Make sure to tune in to The Roar Report<\/strong> on Saturday, October 10<\/strong> from 2\u20133 p.m.<\/strong> Segments will include homecoming traditions such as our Trail of the Torch <\/strong>and our Faculty\/Staff King & Queen Crowning. <\/strong>We will also have other exciting segments including exclusive interviews with notable alumni and, of course, our annual fireworks show. All events will be streamed at hc.fiu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Homecoming Caravan
\n<\/u><\/strong>The Homecoming Caravan will take place at our annual Homecoming Parade on Saturday, October 10 <\/strong>at 3:30 p.m.<\/strong> We invite alumni, students, faculty, employees, retirees and the community to deck out their cars in Panther pride and drive around campus to celebrate another successful Homecoming week. Cars that reflect the most Panther spirit will be entered into a social media competition. The winner will be announced in FIU\u2019s Instagram account<\/a> after the event. Make sure to register to participate<\/a> in the Homecoming Caravan by Wednesday, October 7.<\/p>\n

Homecoming Game<\/u><\/strong>
\nIn the first home-game of our 2020 season, your FIU Panthers will be taking on the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders on Saturday, October 10 at 7 p.m. While details on in-person attendance are still being finalized, you will be able to catch the game on ESPN 3 or ESPN+.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s so much more happening at our FIU during Homecoming! For a full list of events and ticketing information, please visit <\/strong>hc.fiu.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re the most important part of making this year\u2019s Homecoming the most memorable yet \u2013 despite a pandemic. Take part in all your favorite activities, give back and support our FIU.<\/p>\n
