Featuring special guest speaker, Michael Heithaus, dean of the College of Arts, Sciences & Education. Dean Heithaus has appeared in documentaries on National Geographic, Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel. He has also given interviews to diverse networks including the Today Show, Telemundo 51, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and the British Broadcasting Company.
FIU Alumni Association Refund Policy
Paid event participant cancellation:
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable. In some circumstances, the FIU Alumni Association may allow event charges to be converted into a charitable donation to the FIU Alumni Association. Should you wish to convert your event fee into a charitable donation to the FIU Alumni Association Fund (if determined possible by the FIU Alumni Association staff), you must specify this in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Conversions can only be made up to 48 hours prior to the event.
Event Cancellation by the FIU Alumni Association:
The FIU Alumni Association reserves the right to cancel or reschedule under any and all circumstances that would deem the event(s) not viable. Should an event be rescheduled, all fees paid will be valid for admission on the rescheduled date. Should the event be canceled, all fees paid will be refunded.
Event “no shows”:
All fees paid by the participant(s) will be used by the FIU Alumni Association to support the event. No refunds will be provided to participants that purchase a ticket(s) and do not show up to the event.
