On November 10, the FIU Alumni Association hosted a Dining with 12 Panthers (D12) with alumnus Jason Auricchio ’07 & his colleague Roy Perez. Besides the amazing food, the event was phenomenal.
As students, we know it’s important to use the information learned in class, but to get advice from a former Panther made it so much easier to relate to and absorb. What made this session exceptionally unique was the fact that the speakers not only gave us scholastic and entrepreneurial advice, but they also gave us personal advice that we can use outside of the classroom and outside of the office. From this session alone, I feel more confident and motivated in working towards my entrepreneurial goals, especially when knowing that I have Jason and Roy as contacts.
What attracted me to attend a D12 event is self-explanatory. Being able to network and hear genuine advice from someone who was once in the same position as me is absolutely priceless. It also helps that the advice is served alongside a comforting meal!
I gained and learned everything I was expecting to – and so much more. I truly think this is an experience that all Panthers should take advantage of.
