The FIU Alumni Association sponsors, plans and coordinates programs and events for FIU students, alumni, and prospective students. We provide activities that enhance school spirit both on and off-campus for Panthers everywhere! Through learning and leadership opportunities, events, services and FIU traditions, students can foster a sense of loyalty and pride. The Alumni Association hopes that FIU students will continue their involvement and dedication to the university by staying connected to the Alumni Association after graduation.

Your FIU Student Ambassadors invite all students, faculty, staff & alumni to attend FIU’s largest on-campus tradition, Trail of the Torch!
This event brings together the FIU community in a spirit/pep rally style event which will include the traditional lighting of the Torch of Knowledge, Service & Opportunity. The event will take place at the Housing Quad, where attendees can check in, enjoy food, festival like snacks and get tons of giveaways. Be sure to check out the “Student Organization Showcase” while enjoying live entertainment and the chance drawing in support of our student scholarships!
Philanthropy is at the center of this event, as we raise funds to support our student scholarships. Be sure to make a donation for special recognition! All donors will receive a Panther T-shirt! After the torch is lit, be sure to grab your Trail of the Torch giveaway! Only students, alumni and staff who “swipe in” and get a wristband will be able to get the event giveaway.
