Aurelio M. Fernandez III

Aurelio M. Fernandez III, FACHE, has been President and Chief Executive Officer at Memorial Healthcare System since March 2016. Mr. Fernandez joined Memorial Hospital Miramar as its CEO in 2007 and in 2012 was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Memorial Healthcare System. Prior to joining Memorial Hospital Miramar, Mr. Fernandez worked at Tenet Healthcare Corporation in a variety of roles, such as Executive Director of Tenet Physician Services and CEO of both Hialeah Hospital and Florida Medical Center. Mr. Fernandez has been an active member of the South Florida healthcare community for more than 40 years and is on the board of several organizations, including the Florida Hospital Association, Safety Net Hospital Alliance of Florida, and Catholic Health Services.
