Grisel Fernandez-Bravo was recently recruited to be the Chief Executive Officer of MHS Staffing Resources to build the business and branch out to non-Memorial facilities. Grisel has been in healthcare for over 30 years and most recently worked for Memorial Healthcare System as the Chief Executive Officer of Memorial Hospital Miramar, where she managed the Covid-19 pandemic ensuring the highest safety for her employees, while providing excellent care to all patients. She was also instrumental in assisting The Merlin Healthcare Group’s acquisition to Memorial Healthcare System.
Prior to her role as CEO, she worked as the Chief Nursing Officer of Memorial Hospital West and prior to joining Memorial Healthcare System, she spent over ten years with Tenet Health System, as an Emergency Department Director and Chief Nursing Officer at Hialeah Hospital, and then as Chief Nursing Officer of Palmetto General Hospital. Her nursing background includes, pediatrics and emergency department, and has held numerous management positions throughout her career. Grisel also continues to teach nursing leadership and healthcare administration for Florida International University, the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences.
Grisel holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner Certification from Florida International University, and Master of Business Administration and Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees from the University of Miami. Grisel has been recognized numerous times for her achievements both in Nursing and as a Chief Executive Officer including the prestigious Florida International University President’s Award as Outstanding Alumni in 2020 for her career achievements, the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award in Nursing and was also inducted into Miami Dade College’s Alumni Hall of Fame for her career achievements since her graduation from the college.
