Roberto R. Muñoz

Mr. Muñoz currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for BBVA Compass, South Florida Market in Miami and has held senior executive positions at various banks in Miami, FL. Prior to joining BBVA Compass, Mr. Muñoz worked at foreign financial institutions, including but not limited to Barclay’s Capital PLC in London and Mizuho Bank in Tokyo.

Mr. Muñoz is active in many civic organizations in South Florida, including the Florida International Bankers Association. He currently serves as a board member of The Chapman Partnership; The Boy Scouts of America; The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society; and the FIU Center for Leadership Studies, among others. In 2015, he received the Florida Business Ambassador Award and has also been recognized by the South Florida Business Journal, Miami Today and other media organizations for his leadership in banking and finance. He received his bachelor’s degree in Finance and International Business from Florida International University.
