Dr. Stacey Oddman, former Chief of Family Medicine for Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, earned her bachelor’s in chemistry at FIU in 1994 and Doctor of Medicine at the Boston University School of Medicine in 2000, where she was President of the Student National Medical Society BU chapter. She completed a three-year residency in Family Practice at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and is board certified in Family Medicine. She is also an oversight physician for Target Clinics in West Palm Beach/Boynton Beach and serves on multiple committees at Holy Cross Hospital. In 2012 Oddman was elected Chief of the Family Medicine Department and served for four consecutive years. She volunteers at Light of the World Clinic, providing care to the uninsured; publishes health care related articles; and conducts lectures to professional/social groups. She has received numerous honors, including being named one of South Florida’s 100 Most Accomplished Caribbean Americans (ICABA, 2012), one of South Florida’s Most Accomplished in Healthcare (ICABA, 2014), and one of South Florida’s 50 Most Powerful Black Business Leaders (Legacy Magazine, 2013). She has been a member of the FIU Foundation Board of Directors since 2014 and is currently working on developing a STEM scholarship fund for FIU.
