Bertika is a proud 1998 graduate of the Master’s in Health Services Administration program from the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences. A transformational leader with more than 20 years of experience in the global and U.S. healthcare industries, she currently serves as Vice President of Corporate Strategic Accounts - Lilly Value & Access at Eli Lilly and Company.
Throughout her distinguished career at Eli Lilly, Bertika has been a passionate champion of talent development and an advocate for inclusive leadership, driving equity and growth across the organization. Her strategic vision has consistently delivered exceptional business outcomes, including the successful launch of multiple brands and innovations in personalized diabetes management.
Beyond her professional achievements, Bertika is deeply committed to advancing health equity and access. She leads Lilly’s active involvement with the Women of Color in Pharma (WOCIP), helping to shape a future where equitable access to improved health outcomes is a reality for all. She sits on the advisory board of Pretty Brown Girl, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Black and Brown girls by fostering self-acceptance and nurturing social, emotional, and intellectual growth. All this inspiration comes from over 30+ years of membership and service in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. she demonstrates her commitment to her pledge of providing “service to all mankind.”
A loyal and engaged alumna, Bertika continues to give back to FIU through her philanthropic support of the high-impact Golden Scholars Program and other campus initiatives. Her visionary leadership is helping to pave the way for the next generation of talented Panthers.
While committed as a Golden Panther graduate, Bertika is equally loyal to her undergraduate alma mater, Florida A&M University, where she has established a Rattler scholarship.
