FIU Trustee Chanel Rowe, valedictorian of the FIU College of Law 2014 graduating class, currently works as senior counsel at Johnson & Johnson where she focuses on litigation policy and litigation risk mitigation; she also serves as a member of the Florida International University Board of Trustees.
She recently gave to the University to create the Trustee Chanel T. Rowe Judicial Externship Scholarship and Trustee Chanel T. Rowe Book Scholarship funds; the former supports FIU Law students who demonstrate financial need, were first-generation college students or from a single-parent household, and wish to participate in a judicial externship, while the latter helps defray the cost of pricey law books.
