From campus traditions to watch parties across the country, every game offers an opportunity to celebrate FIU Football. As the Panthers take on opponents beyond Miami, FIU Alumni brings the spirit of game day on the road with special Panther Fan Tailgates and gatherings throughout the season.
- Panther Fan Tailgate at USF - September 5th
Making the trip to Tampa or already cheering on the Panthers from the area? Join FIU Alumni for a pregame tailgate before FIU takes on the University of South Florida and celebrate game day with fellow Panthers.

What to know:
- Registration is $25 and includes food and two drink tickets
- Children 12 and under attend the tailgate free of charge

- Home Opener Chill Zone - September 12th
Cool down before kickoff at the FIU Alumni Chill Zone, a pre-game space to relax, recharge, and get ready to cheer on the Panthers as they take on Buffalo in the 2026 Football Home Opener.Date: Saturday, September 12, 2026
Time: 3:30–5:30 p.m.
Location: Parkview Multipurpose Room, Modesto A. Maidique Campus (across from the stadium)
- Complimentary food and refreshments will be available for the first 100 attendees
- A cash bar featuring beer and wine will be available for purchase
- Game tickets are not included with your registration. Purchase tickets through FIU Athletics.
- Panther Fan Tailgate at FAU - September 19th
Join FIU Alumni in Boca Raton before the Panthers take on Florida Atlantic University for the Shula Bowl. Enjoy a pregame tailgate with fellow alumni, families, friends, and fans featuring food, drinks, music, and plenty of Panther pride before kickoff.

- FIU Pig Roast Series and Tailgate - September 26th
Mark your calendar! The FIU Pig Roast Series and Tailgate returns on Saturday, September 26 at Pitbull Stadium!Join FIU alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the community for a day filled with food, football, and Panther pride ahead of kickoff against LIU.

- Homecoming Roar Lounge - November 7th
Homecoming is a time to celebrate where we’ve been, where we are, and where we’re headed. Welcome home, Panthers, and join FIU Alumni for Roar Lounge — the official Alumni Homecoming tailgate — featuring food, drinks, activities for all ages, and a celebration of the traditions and Panther pride that make this week special.Date: Saturday, November 7, 2026

Celebrating 25 Seasons of FIU Football
The 2026 season officially marks FIU's 25th season of football competition, dating back to the Panthers' first-ever season in 2002. Fans can be expected to be taken on a journey back to the inception of the program all the way up to the present day, recognizing the standard set by the first teams and acknowledging how many past Panthers have helped to build on that legacy.

Tailgating Information
Planning to tailgate? The Cuban Memorial Area of the park, southeast of FIU Football Stadium, is the perfect setting to enjoy pre-game activities, including FIU’s Pig Roast Series.
Tailgating begins six hours before kickoff during our September home games, and at 3:30 p.m. during the October games. Official tailgating times for the November games are TBD.
