Across industries and communities, FIU alumni are making meaningful contributions through leadership, creativity, integrity, and purpose. The Panther Portrait Series was created to celebrate those individuals by turning the spotlight toward the alumni whose lives and work reflect the spirit and values of the university.
The series serves as both a reflection and a recognition of the many ways Panthers carry FIU into the world. Through each portrait, the impact, character, and legacy of FIU alumni are brought into focus—capturing not only personal achievement, but also the broader story of the FIU community.

About the Panther Portrait Series
The Panther Portrait Series is an invitation-only initiative that honors FIU alumni whose personal and professional journeys embody the university’s core values of creativity, integrity, and purpose.
Held several times throughout the year, each Panther Portrait experience is designed as an intimate and highly personal celebration. The program highlights alumni whose stories reflect the heart and soul of FIU and showcases the many ways Panthers continue to shape their industries, communities, and the world around them.
Each portrait becomes a lasting representation of Panther pride and the enduring connection between the honoree and the university.
The Experience
The Photo Session
Each experience begins with a professional portrait session designed to capture the person behind the Panther. Honorees may choose to include a small number of meaningful individuals in the portrait experience, such as a partner, parent, child, mentor, professor, or FIU representative. The session takes place before the celebration event.
The Celebration Event
The portrait experience culminates in a warm and intimate reception hosted on campus, typically attended by 40–60 guests, including family, friends, FIU leadership, and members of the university community. The evening features music, remarks, and storytelling moments that celebrate the honoree’s journey, impact, and connection to FIU.
The Portrait Reveal
The evening concludes with the unveiling of the completed portrait, revealed publicly for the first time as a tribute to the honoree’s lasting relationship with FIU. The portrait is then displayed at FIU as part of the ongoing Panther Portrait Series collection.
