Biography
Joshua Padron is a trial attorney, community leader and founding partner of Padron & Lopez-Trigo, P.A., a Florida law firm dedicated to representing individuals and families in personal injury and wrongful death cases.
Joshua began his legal career as a prosecutor at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he handled cases ranging from armed trafficking and attempted murder to DUI, sexual assault and traffic homicide. The experience gave him significant courtroom experience early in his career and shaped the strategic, trial-ready approach he continues to bring to his work today.
Before founding Padron & Lopez-Trigo, Joshua practiced at The Haggard Law Firm, where he helped recover more than $100 million in compensation for clients. He later took the entrepreneurial step of co-founding his own firm, built around a model that combines sophisticated trial advocacy with direct attorney access and personalized representation for individuals and families facing life-changing circumstances.
Joshua’s commitment to the legal profession extends beyond his own practice. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Cuban American Bar Association (CABA) and currently serves as Secretary of the CABA Pro Bono Board of Directors. He also serves on The Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, where he helps represent the interests of more than 20,000 young attorneys across Florida. Through these roles, Joshua has supported professional development, community engagement, pro bono service and the next generation of Florida attorneys.
He is also committed to using his legal experience to contribute to broader conversations affecting South Florida. In 2026, Joshua co-authored a Daily Business Review article examining what $2.7 million in recent case recoveries revealed about uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage. He also co-authored a Law360 article on Copa America’s impact on the World Cup’s security risk planning.
A proud FIU Law alumnus, Joshua graduated from the FIU Law School in 2019 with his juris doctorate. His experience at FIU helped him become the attorney he is today. He credits the law school and more specifically the trial team and trial advocacy program with providing him with the tools he relies on every day to litigate cases. Today, his work reflects the values of leadership, service and community that helped shape his journey as a Panther.
Through his work as an attorney, entrepreneur and community leader, Joshua has built his career around advocacy and service whether fighting for clients in the courtroom, supporting his peers in the legal profession or helping strengthen the South Florida community he calls home.
