Homecoming, a long standing tradition embraced by our FIU family and community, is a weeklong event that gives alumni an opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater and showcase their Panther spirit and pride.

Homecoming 2024 Event Schedule
- September 16th – Alumni Spirit Decorating Competition
With over 320,000 FIU Alumni worldwide, we want to know if YOU have the most Panther Spirit! Turn your office spaces—whether at home or at work—blue and gold for this year’s Spirit Decorating Competition. Make sure to download your Toolkit with printable images to Panther-ize your space!Post on social channels and tag @FIUAlumni for bonus points!

- September 17th – 5 Under 35 Awards Reception
FIU Alumni is pleased to announce the 2024 5 Under 35. They exemplify FIU's core values of Truth, Freedom, Respect, Responsibility and Excellence in their personal and professional lives. Join us as we celebrate these exemplary Panthers!Time: 6-9 pm

Graduates of the 70s, 80s, & 90s, it's time to reconnect with the Panthers that made your FIU experience unforgettable! Join us for a night of networking, nostalgia, and FIU Spirit.Time: 6-9 pm
Location: Chilis in the Graham Center - September 19th – Trail of the Torch at the Uncaging
Your FIU Student Ambassadors invite all alumni, students, faculty, and staff to attend FIU’s largest on-campus tradition, Trail of the Torch. This program brings together the FIU community for the traditional lighting of the Torch of Knowledge, Service & Opportunity. Nominations are open for Torchbearers!
The FIU Student Ambassadors are looking for four students and one alumnus/a to serve as torchbearers for the FIU 2024 Trail of the Torch hosted at The Uncaging. The torchbearers must embody the essence of a Panther while being well-rounded, philanthropic, hardworking, and driven. We are looking for the best of the best to carry our torch at the annual Trail of the Torch ceremony.
Those selected as Torchbearers must be able to attend the Trail of the Torch Ceremony taking place at The Uncaging on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at the Graham Center Lawns. Torchbearers are free to enjoy the event before and after the ceremony.

Location: The Uncaging on the Graham Center Lawns - September 20th – Double Panther Appreciation
Are you an Alumnus or Alumna who works at FIU? We want to celebrate you! Join the Division of Human Resources and FIU Alumni for our annual Double Panther event. Double Panthers who attend our open house style event will enjoy giveaways, entertainment and some light bites. Invited guests are asked to check with their supervisor to ensure proper office coverage before RSVPing.Time: 8:30-10:30 am

FIU takes on Monmouth University on Saturday, September 21, at 6:00 pm. Prior to kickoff, join FIU Alumni for our reimagined Roar Lounge! Visit the many Alumni owned or managed businesses that will be showcased from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. Bring your family and friends—everyone is welcome! For just $30 (children ages 12 and under are free), enjoy delicious food and craft drinks prepared by FIU alumni, 3 drink tickets, and activities.Time: 2:30-5:30 pm
